This website explores an expanded use of the concept of conscientious objection. To evolve from the historical roots of opposition to participation in war, to making contemporary connections between the settler-colonialism of this land, and decolonization using LANDBACK, Mutual Aid, and Abolition.
It traces the evolution of conscientious objection from the radical faith-driven resistance of Quaker communities to participation in war, and advances to the explicitly political, decolonial, abolitionist, and mutual aid work of modern justice organizations like Des Moines Mutual Aid (DMMA) and the work of Sikowis Nobiss and the Great Plains Action Society in the Midwest.
