It is paradoxical that during this time when I've been working on concepts for a just future, this country has been increasingly expanding its toxic politics and military might both around the world, and within our domestic society. There is a pervasive sense that it is all falling apart.

Spirituality
I believe our Quaker spiritual practices are uniquely positioned as a format for spiritual seeking and guidance for everyone, or at least for those who are not Indigenous. Even for those who profess to not have a faith tradition (referred to as tacit knowledge).
Walk Cheerfully Over the World
And this is the word of the Lord God to you all, and a charge to you all in the presence of the living God: be patterns, be examples in all countries, places, islands, nations, wherever you come, that your carriage and life may preach among all sorts of people, and to them; then you will come to walk cheerfully over the world, answering that of God in every one. --George Fox
A dozen Roses for Renee Good
In these tumultuous times, we should pay a great deal of attention to our Spiritual life. Now is the time to join with others outside our usual circles. We all need each other.
Quakers Silent Witness for Peace
Quaker public witness has stood in opposition to cruel and authoritarian actions in our country before. It is time for us to show this love in action again. American Friends Service Committee (AFSC)
The Economic Draft
As I've been exploring the ideas of the NewCO (new conscientious objector) I've been led to see that the systems of oppression and injustice we are living in, the Christian, colonial, capitalist violence, can be more clearly viewed as an 'Economic Draft.' Framing it this way makes it more clear what the NewCO is consciously objecting to.
The NewCO: What, Why, and How?
The NewCO (New Conscientious Objector) framework provides a comprehensive strategic blueprint for the immediate cessation of systemic sin within the Iowa Yearly Meeting (Conservative) tradition. The NewCO is about a faithful response composed of three integrated pillars: LANDBACK, Mutual Aid, and Abolition.
Radical Faithfulness
This time of intense research about the concept of the NewCO has led me to two fundamental concepts that I'll be writing more about: radical faithfulness and gradualism/immediatism.
A Time of Reflection
I'm a little overwhelmed by the spiritual experiences I've had recently. I felt the presence of the Spirit intensely as I prepared to join the work to rebuild the Healing Justice House, to help with the deconstruction of the Healing Justice House, part of the Great Plains Action Society's new Indigenous-led Urban Resilience and Innovation Hub. The intensity has not diminished. I am led to remain in this Spiritual space as I seek answers to what happened and what I am led to do next. I won't be engaging with email and electronic media much
The Inward Compass
To implement he NewCO (New Conscientious Objector), Quaker meetings will rely on our historic process of using queries to guide us..
