I urge Quakers and others of conscience to object to Christian, colonial capitalism, and build Beloved communities based upon Mutual Aid, LANDBACK, and the replacement of police and prisons with ways to promote community safety instead.

Decolonial Path for Quakers 10 – Sensemaking
Some Friends have come to the conclusion that we must "conscientiously object to and resist capitalism and white supremacy" just as we have historically conscientiously objected to military service. To live faithfully requires us to seek and build alternatives that are rooted in our spiritual principles. The antidote is LANDBACK, Mutual Aid, and Abolition.
A Revolutionary Act
Embracing mutual aid is not merely an act of service but a spiritual imperative for contemporary Quakers to live out their testimonies in transformative action.
Need new peace movement now
We can't allow our focus to be hijacked into dwelling on this atrocity. We must not only continue our peace efforts, but look around for others who share our beliefs that we haven't, for whatever reason, connected with, yet. Build a new peace movement, built on years of work we have already done. But now look more globally for peacemakers to join us, for us to join them, at this horrible time.
The center cannot hold
At the collective level, a loss of sensemaking erodes shared cultural and value structures and renders us incapable of generating the collective wisdom necessary to solve complex societal problems like those described above. When that happens the centre cannot hold. James Allen
An Opportunity
We’ve been given the opportunity to live out our ideals, to fight for our values, to be the community and the people we always said we were. There are Home Depots all over the country. There are many other appropriate places to protest. Army tanks will soon be parading in the Capital. Go there if you can, and say no. Our friends, neighbors, and coworkers are being targeted. Our communities and our country are under siege. It’s time for us to defend them. Chris Newman, Truthout
US Foreign and Domestic Imperialism
It is disconcerting to see both the domestic and international imperial forces of this country exploding at the same time. With the deployment of National Guard troops to Los Angeles at the same time the Freedom Flotilla vessel Madleen was boarded by the Israeli Defence Forces in international waters.
Army in the Streets
This direct conflict between federal executive action and state governmental opposition immediately elevates the situation beyond a localized law enforcement matter, into the complex area of constitutional power and federal-state relations.
unflinching June 2025
The concept of being unflinching refers to having the resolve, determination, and courage to remain steady and unchanged, especially in the face of adversity or challenge. This quality is about inner strength and steadfastness, it speaks to an individual’s ability to stand firm, unwavering, particularly in situations that may be daunting or challenging.
Hunger Strikes
Hunger strike means to go without food in solidarity with those suffering from hunger, from famine. It also means that hunger has striken the children, the people in Gaza and the West Bank.
